The Bible tells us in Proverbs 3:13-15 that wisdom is more precious than silver and gold and nothing is her equal. If you are looking to do business God's way the most important thing you can acquire is wisdom. Wisdom will guide you on how to make the right decisions in your business and life.

What is wisdom? I believe it is the knowledge that we put into practice! Knowledge + practise = wisdom

I don't believe one must be born a genius to be successful but there is a cost one must pay to acquire wisdom. We must be willing and humble to learn and be students for life. There are many ways to do this through studying, reading books, reading the Bible, learning from life lessons, and through wise counsel.

In the book of Proverbs which is one of the books on wisdom, it is clear that having many advisors and having a wise counsel is very important. You see it all throughout the book of Proverbs. So ask yourself: Do I currently have a wise counsel? Do I have a mentor or coach? When was the last time I asked someone for advice who I really trusted?

If you don't have people in your life who you can go to for advice. I do believe this is something you should consider! Now you might be thinking well how do I know who should be my mentor, coach, or in my wise counsel? God has an answer to that which is in James 3:13 "Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom."

Your mentor should be someone who has good fruit. Their life and how they live life is all you need to know to be able to make a good decision as to whether or not you should make this person a part of your wise counsel. Make sure to take the time to truly evaluate the wise counsel you currently have or the people you are considering to be a part of that circle before taking any of their advice.

Most top performers in business and top realtors have a coach or mentor why? Because it is smart and biblical to have wise counsel.
